Königstein Fortress

Cruise through the Elbe Sandstone Mountains "Saxonian Switzerland"

A competently guided bus ride will take you from Dresden through the Saxony Switzerland of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains to the Königstein Fortress. The 750 years old building is placed 240 m above the river Elbe and was regarded as impregnable. Discover an impressive ensemble of European fortress architecture from the late Gothic era till the 19th century. Then a vintage bus will take you aboard the motor cruiser Lilienstein, which is a ship of the company Sächsische Dampfschifffahrt. The return journey takes you through one of the most beautiful river landscapes in Europe. Enjoy the view into the Elbe valley, its vineyards and graceful castles.

Highlights of Dresden city
